I dont Know what to do !My dog Is really dirty and we want to cut his hair but it is really cold and then he will get cold!HELP!!!!

Obviously the first problem here is that this is an outside dog...bring him in, bathe him, and keep him in until he is dry.

Now, stop abandoning the dog outside, brush him regularly (that may mean DAILY for a long haired dog), and make him a part of your family.

If all this is too much for you, break out the check book and take him to a groomer, and get him professionally cleaned. This is a living creature, a member of your family, please, treat him with the respect and caring he deserves or consider re-homing him where he will be a more welcome member of the family.

most dogs have a top coat as well as an undercaot. so even a trim wont hurt.

Well first give him/her a bath then take him to a groomer and have them trim his hair i whent threw the same situation.

the groomer will take the extra hair off but wont shave him. its like getting ur hair cut and u tell the lady i hav really thick hair and i want you to thin it out.. so she layers it or does whatever she does. its kinda like that. u still hav ur hair when ur done and so will the dog. just less of it!! hope that helped!!

Hello....The best thing i know,is to give him a very good bath.Brush is coat out and brush his teeth real good,then call petsmart and make an appiontment to get a hair cut.They do a great job there(i take my corgis' there,boy they have alot of hair)In the long run,it's more healthy and short hair is easier to take care of.If it's cold,just let him out to do his business,and bring him back in,he will be fine.
