My dog has 2 spots where she has been loosing hair(right where her shoulders are) She does have dry skin and we are treating her for that. But is there another reason this is happening?

Try a natural food supplement. Our dog was itching, and as a result - loosing hair. After two weeks on the supplement - all of the problems went away - including fleas (bonus!).

Could be an allergy to food or something else. I would ask your Vet. Our dog has skin problems and we give him fish oil pills everyday and that seems to help. Adding olive oil to her food once a week will help also.

There's lots of possible reasons. Allergies, mange, thyroid or Cushing's disease, other skin issues. Omega 3 supplements and oatmeal shampoos can help with dry skin, but symmetrical hair loss is suspicious of a systemic disease.
